Father's Day Pictures!

As part of Rod's Father's Day gift this year, I took the kids to get their picture taken. We wanted him to have some new pictures to put up at work. I had planned to take the kids' picture myself, but at the last moment I chickened out and called a portrait studio. We went to Portrait Innovations where you can have your pictures developed the same day. While it wasn't the original plan, I'm so happy with the results!

The crew's special picture for their favorite man!

Even though I only planned to get the one picture, I couldn't resist when I saw my adorable little kids. A lot of money later, I left with a bulging packet of pictures. Oh well, the challenges of having gorgeous kids!

This was one of my favorite pictures of the day.

my girlies cracking up!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband, Rod! The kids are so lucky to have such a loving and dedicated father and I could never take this wild journey with anyone else. Love you!

A Day at the Park

We all went out to enjoy the warm weather at the park the other day. I somehow didn't get any pictures of Izzie, but here is everyone else.

Then Will borrowed my camera for a bit. So, we have a bunch of pictures that look like this

and this.

and a bunch that look like this

and this

(Will had a scrape on his chin)

This is Will's picture of the two of us together.

We love summer! It's great to be able to get out and let the kids run around and burn off their energy!

My Sweet Little 'Mommies'

A few days ago we went to the children's museum. As always, the crew had a great time. There are several different imaginary play areas. One was set up like a nursery and the quads loved it! We spent a lot of time there and it was so sweet watching each kids different interactions with the babies.

Izzie was the most interested in taking care of the babies.

She would cuddle and rock the baby,

then tuck each baby into bed.

Drew also showed his sensitive side in taking care of the babies.

He got the baby dressed, cuddled him

then tucked him into bed.

Julia didn't play with the babies too much,

She mostly just napped on the cot between the cribs!

Paige had no interest in the babies at all.

She just sat and pretend ate pretend food.

As I watched them, I had to laugh. I can't decide which one is the most like me. I love cuddling and taking care of my babies, but I also really like napping and eating...

Partners in Crime

Today was a rough day. I'll spare everyone the details and just say that 'nap time' was awful. Absolutely awful. No napping took place. There was a rowdy party going on in the quads' room. I went upstairs and tried to calm them. I had barely made it back downstairs when I could hear the good times starting up again. This went on for quite a while before I gave up. I was frustrated and angry and done! I brought everyone downstairs and they all went in to timeout. Noses on the wall.

Well, those four kids lined up with their noses to the wall was stinkin' adorable. I had to grab a picture. Then I left the room to call Rod and vent about our day.

Drew, Izzie, Paige and Julia

Wouldn't you know it, I came back and found they had dialed up the adorable meter! I needed another picture.

How sweet are they?

I swear, it's like they know when they need to be cute to help Mommy remember that she doesn't really want to box them up and ship them to Taiwan.

What Have We Been Doing?

Oops... I took a much longer break than I meant to. With the beginning of summer we have been busy, then I left my camera at my sister-in-law's, then I had a couple of migraines... Next thing I knew it had been a couple of weeks with no posts. Oops! Well, here is a quick recap of just what we have been up to for the last couple of weeks.

We went swimming at my sister-in-law Laura's.

Julia, Dana, Drew, Ana, Taylor and Paige in the big raft

Will playing with Great-Uncle Mark (with a frog float on his head)

Izzie swimming with Daddy

(those puddle jumpers are GREAT! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!)

We shaved Will's head.

He wanted to be bald, so this was a compromise.

Paige tried on Aunt Sara's sun hat.

Love the face!

Mostly, we played outside and enjoyed the sunshine!

slide races

playing at the sand table

Drew dressed as a knight,

but wearing his shield as a turtle shell.

Well, there you go! That pretty well sums up the last couple of weeks. Just hanging out and having a fun, relaxing summer. I'm looking forward to the rest of summer!
